Why does MCS certification matter?

MCS is a standards organisation, creating and maintaining high standards that allows for the certification of products, installers and their installations. Associated with these standards is the certification scheme, run on behalf of MCS by Certification Bodies who hold UKAS accreditation to ISO 17065.

MCS is a mark of quality, and membership of MCS is recognised as demonstrating adherence to these recognised industry standards; highlighting quality, competency and compliance.

MCS certification is the recognised mark of quality in the renewable energy industry, which also helps to ensure that installers are appropriately qualified and experienced in their field. So whilst it’s not not legally mandated, many installers are choosing to become MCS certified in order to access the financial benefits and demonstrate quality of work.

We are proud i-Protech have MCS certification for both solar panel installations and battery storage.
