Due to continued growth, i-Protech Technology Ltd is looking to recruit an experienced Electrician – Electrical and Renewables to join our team in Westhill.
This is a varied role covering a mixture of domestic and commercial electrical work, solar PV, battery storage and EV charging installations.
We are looking for a reliable and experienced electrician who takes pride in the quality of their work, is comfortable dealing with customers and can work both independently and as part of a wider installation team.
Experience within solar PV, battery storage or EV charging would be advantageous, but is not essential for the right candidate, as additional training can be provided.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The role will include:
- Domestic and commercial electrical installations
- Solar PV installations
- Battery storage installations
- EV charger installations
- Consumer unit replacements and upgrades
- Electrical alterations and additions
- Testing, inspection and commissioning of electrical installations
- Fault finding and remedial work
- Working alongside other electricians, apprentices and renewable-energy installers
- Completing installation and testing documentation accurately
- Ensuring work complies with current electrical regulations and company standards
- Liaising professionally with customers while working on site
- Identifying and reporting any additional work or technical issues found during installations
- Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and site cleanliness
- Ensuring installations are fully tested and proven operational before leaving site
- Working closely with the office and project co-ordination team to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and correctly
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for someone who is experienced, dependable and takes responsibility for the standard of their work.
Ideally, you will have:
- Recognised electrical qualifications
- Current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
- Experience carrying out domestic and/or commercial electrical installations
- Good testing and fault-finding ability
- Strong understanding of electrical safety and current regulations
- Good workmanship and attention to detail
- The ability to work independently and manage your workload
- Good communication and customer-service skills
- A professional and reliable approach
- A full UK driving licence
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
Experience or qualifications in any of the following would be advantageous:
- Solar PV
- Battery storage
- EV charging
- Inspection and testing
- Three-phase installations
- Renewable-energy systems
We would also be interested in speaking with electricians who have strong core electrical experience and would like to develop further within the renewable-energy sector.
THE TYPE OF PERSON WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for an electrician who takes genuine pride in their work and understands the importance of completing installations properly, safely and to a consistently high standard.
You should be dependable, comfortable dealing directly with customers and able to work independently when required while also fitting well into a wider electrical and renewable-energy installation team.
The role would particularly suit an experienced electrician looking for a varied workload and the opportunity to develop further within solar PV, battery storage and EV charging.
